CCN is an independent news agency and a multi-disciplinary research organization.
The key objectives are to gather and disseminate information about pressing socio-political and economic issues of today. CCN aims at introducing a new trend in journalism. CCN will probe into, analyze and interpret events that have taken place or can take place. It will shun partisan reporting or sensationalism. Accuracy and objectivity are the main goals.
Associated with it is a group of talented, highly motivated and experienced professionals who are witnesses to, and participants in, many multi-dimensional developments that have over the decades molded the media industry in Bangladesh. It is difficult to match CCN in terms of human resources, both for the print and the electronic media.
A major thrust has been on supplementing the efforts of newspapers and magazines in analyzing the national and international issues as well as portraying the life of the people. Today's media face chronic constraints like shortage of specialized manpower, lack of organized network and resistance from various pressure groups in gathering news. For the local media as well as those interested in Bangladesh outside the country, CCN hopes to be of help in this regard.

Journalists, researchers, artists, photographers, filmmakers, media personalities and management experts of the country are actively involved with CCN.

CCN's Mission
Going beyond the conventional concerns of journalism, research and analysis, CCN's mission is to advise, advocate, plan and promote people's participation, involvement and interface among various sections of the society and sensitize the public on issues of national concern. CCN's activities are in tune with the national objectives of emancipation, empowerment, welfare and sustainability of people.

CCN firmly believes that development in any sphere is possible only through timely stock taking and necessary policy interventions. For any research to be useful and having impact in this process, it must be designed and carried out in a result-oriented manner and must help the process of decision-making. Thus, CCN has a bias for purposeful and action research.
Center's Network
Network of the center for communication includes several core professionals in various disciplines and supervisory staff at all major locations both at home and abroad. As and when necessary, CCN appoints field investigators in many other strategic urban and rural locations in entire Bangladesh. This rich pool of human resources enables CCN to undertake time-bound micro and macro studies capable of meeting the multifarious needs of a variety of clients.
